What's your typical response time?
One business hour during open hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm PT). Inbounds outside hours get answered first thing the next morning. Time-sensitive lock requests and active-file questions get answered immediately by your assigned loan officer regardless of time.
Do I need to schedule an appointment to call or visit?
To call, no — (877) 870-0007 picks up live during business hours. For an in-person Irvine office visit, please call ahead so we can have the right loan officer ready for you (and so we're not out at a closing when you arrive).
Will contacting you trigger a credit pull or commit me to anything?
No. Initial conversations, scenario quotes, and rate ballparks happen with zero credit impact and no obligation. A credit pull only happens once you decide to formally apply — and we'll confirm in writing before pulling. Hard policy.
What information should I have ready when I contact you?
For a rate ballpark: rough credit score, target home price, planned down payment, target state, and whether you're buying or refinancing. For a pre-approval, add gross monthly income and a sense of monthly debt obligations. None of these are required — we'll guide you through whatever's missing on the call.
I'm in a state you're not licensed in. Can you still help?
Unfortunately no — mortgages are originated state-by-state under each state's regulator. We're licensed in CA, CO, FL, ID, MD, NH, SC, TX, and VA. If you're in another state, we're happy to refer you to a vetted broker in that market; just call and let us know.
Do you work with first-time buyers?
Constantly — about a third of our annual volume is first-time buyers. We'll walk you through DPA programs (state-by-state), FHA vs Conventional, and exactly what reserves and documentation you'll need. No question is too basic.
Can we meet by video instead of phone or in-person?
Yes — Zoom, Google Meet, or FaceTime, whatever you prefer. Useful for screen-shares when reviewing rate options or going through pre-approval paperwork together. Just mention it when you book the call.
Is the contact form secure?
Yes. The form uses HTTPS, doesn't store sensitive financial data (no SSN, no full DOB), and inquiries are received only by licensed OnPoint Mortgage Pro loan officers. For sharing sensitive documents (W-2s, paystubs, etc.), we'll send you a secure encrypted upload link after our first conversation — never request those by plain email.
